Our Story
Resolution Web Development began in 2016, born from a simple realization: Wix had capabilities most people didn't know existed.
What started as a high school side project—building websites for local businesses and experimenting with what Wix could really do—quickly turned into something bigger. While other developers dismissed Wix as "just a DIY builder," we saw a robust platform with serious potential. The design flexibility, the ability to scale, and eventually the introduction of Velo for custom coding—it all pointed to one thing: Wix could compete with any platform if you knew how to use it properly.
The Decision to Specialize
Instead of spreading ourselves thin across WordPress, Shopify, and custom frameworks, we made a strategic choice: master one platform completely. Eight years and 200+ websites later, that decision has proven itself. We know Wix inside and out—every capability, every optimization technique, every workaround. That depth of expertise is what allows us to build complex member systems, custom databases, and API integrations that most people assume require enterprise-level platforms.
Where We Are Today
Today, Resolution Web Development is a Wix Legendary Partner—recognized in the top tier of Wix developers worldwide. We're based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but we work with clients across the country. From service businesses needing local visibility to companies requiring sophisticated custom functionality, we build websites that perform.

Meet the Founder
Jarod Dykstra | Founder & Lead Developer
I started Resolution Web Development in 2016 while still in high school—building websites between classes and figuring out what Wix could really do.
After graduating, I made a decision that surprised a lot of people: skip college and go all-in on web development. For the first few months, I delivered sandwiches for Jimmy John's to pay the bills while building client websites at night. It wasn't glamorous, but it gave me the runway to turn Resolution into a full-time business.
What Drives Me:
I'm obsessed with solving problems. Not abstract coding challenges—real business problems. How do we get more traffic to your site? How do we turn visitors into customers? How do we automate the repetitive tasks eating up your time? That's what gets me excited about every project.
Eight years and 200+ websites later, I still get satisfaction from seeing a client's online presence transform—better traffic, more leads, and websites that actually work as hard as they do.
Beyond the Screen:
When I'm not building websites, you'll find me on the basketball court. I coach high school girls basketball and play pickup whenever I can. I got married in 2025 and still live right here in Grand Rapids where I grew up.
I built this business on the belief that you don't need a computer science degree to be great at what you do—you just need to care more than anyone else and be willing to put in the work.
