Website Maintenance

Your website, kept current for you.

Updates, security, backups, and speed, handled by the person who builds websites for a living. Send the change, and it's done.

Most small business websites don't break all at once. They slowly go stale.

Old hours, a team member who left two years ago, last season's specials, a contact form nobody noticed stopped working. Customers notice, and so does Google. Maintenance is how you stop that from happening without learning website software yourself.

What's Included

What website maintenance covers

Content updates

Text, photos, hours, menus, staff, events, and blog posts. Text or email me the change, and it goes live, usually the same week.

Security

HTTPS, secure forms with spam protection, and keeping anything that needs updating up to date, so your site stays safe and trusted.

Backups

Your site and its content backed up, so a bad change or a mistake is a quick undo, not a disaster.

Speed and uptime

Watching load times and making sure the site stays up. A slow site loses visitors and rankings; a down site loses everything.

Forms that actually work

Checking that contact and quote forms deliver, because a broken form is the most expensive bug a small business can have.

SEO health checks

Broken links, missing titles and descriptions, and indexing problems caught early, before they cost you rankings. More on SEO.

How It Works

Simple on your end

  1. We look at your site together

What it runs on, how often it changes, and what's broken or out of date right now.

  2. You get a clear quote

A simple monthly arrangement or as-needed updates, whichever fits how often your site changes.

  3. Send updates whenever

Text or email the change. No tickets, no portals, no waiting in a queue behind bigger clients.

  4. I keep an eye on the rest

Security, backups, speed, forms, and SEO health, checked regularly so problems get fixed before you notice them.

Why Me

Maintenance from a builder, not a help desk

I've designed and built more than 200 websites since 2016, so when something needs fixing, the person reading your message is the person who can fix it. And when an update turns into a bigger idea, like a new page, an online store, or a custom feature, there's no handoff to another company.

The thing my 50+ five-star reviews mention most is replies that actually come back. That matters more in maintenance than anywhere else.

Need a new site first? Start with web design or a redesign. Maintenance picks up right where launch leaves off.

Common Questions

Website maintenance questions

What kinds of updates are included?

Everyday changes: new photos, text edits, hours and menu changes, new team members, events, blog posts, and small new sections. Bigger projects, like a new page type or a redesign, get their own fixed quote.

How fast do updates get done?

Most updates are done the same week, and small ones often the same day. Send them by text or email, whatever is easiest for you.

Can you maintain a website you didn't build?

Usually, yes. I maintain custom-coded, Wix, and Shopify sites, and I review a site first so every change is safe. I don't maintain WordPress sites; if yours is on WordPress, the better move is usually a redesign onto something faster and easier to keep current.

What happens if my site goes down?

I watch for it, and I'm the one who fixes it. Because I build sites too, there's no waiting on a separate developer.

How is maintenance priced?

It depends on how often your site changes and what it runs on. You get a clear quote up front, either as a simple monthly arrangement or as-needed updates.

Is SEO included?

Every maintenance arrangement includes basic SEO health checks, like broken links, missing titles, and speed. Ongoing ranking work is part of my SEO services and local SEO plans.
